The People's Ball

Celebrate Creativity, Connection, and Collective Joy at The People’s Ball

Temple University invites students, faculty, and staff to The People’s Ball—an energizing afternoon centered on community, collaboration, and shared expression. This free event welcomes all members of the Temple community to take part in interactive, hands-on activities designed to foster connection through creativity and play.

One of the event’s main attractions is a large-scale obstacle course where participants team up to move a 5-foot-diameter beach ball through a series of imaginative challenges. These playful and symbolic obstacles, like a “ball pit of despair” and a cartoonish “hard pill to swallow” archway, offer lighthearted ways to reflect on collective perseverance and support.

Other highlights include:
•    Live T-shirt screen printing featuring original designs from our public art billboard project
•    Edible art experiences for all ages
•    A resource zine filled with tools, tips, and information for staying connected and inspired

The People’s Ball is a celebration of joy, collaboration, and creativity. It’s a chance for the Temple community to come together, connect, and recharge through art and movement.

Support for this event comes from the Temple University General Activity Fund (GAF).
