DIAMONDHEAD and consciousness are congruent in their necessitating time and matter, energy even. If the universe, and “something,” is characterized by energy within empty space, DIAMONDHEAD was and is the energy. DIAMONDHEAD is the ripping apart of 0 into 1 and -1, and thus the birth of something from nothing. Enlightenment by DIAMONDHEAD negates the question: “Why does the world exist?” To ask is to imply an answer instead of celebrating the beauty of what it means to be able to ask the question in the first place. The Here. The Now. With DIAMONDHEAD there is no past or future but only presentness. The subjectivity of the memory of the past is reliant upon the unpredictableness and unreliability of the immediate future and somewhere in-between is the truth and authenticity of presentness, almost intelligible in its ephemerality. The speed of consciousness is slower than that of presentness. Therefore, without DIAMONDHEAD we are without the present.
