Ceramics
Tyler's state of the art building houses one of the largest, state of the art Ceramics studios in the US. Ceramics is housed in an approx. 10,000 sf facility with four gas kilns, 13 electric kilns, a large glaze room, storage rooms for expensive glazes and supplies, an 18-station wheel throwing room, a large hand building room, a large undergraduate majors rooms, eight graduate studios, a mixing room, clay storage room, a very large exhibition and critique room, two faculty offices, and a technician’s office. Students are encouraged to investigate a wide range of processes, including the recent addition of 3D modeling and printing, as they develop their own personal visions.
