Photography
At Tyler, photography majors learn both the art and science of the discipline, preparing themselves to take on any one of these roles or to create their own. The Photography program is housed in a 9,000 sf facility with two large wet labs, lighting studio, critique room, a small exhibition gallery, graduate studios with a separate wet lab, darkrooms, film loading rooms, enlargers, chemical storage, color corrected viewing area, two large computer studios with large format printing, extremely large format printing, a lending room of film and digital SLRs, medium format and large format cameras and supplies, and high quality digital scanning. The area houses the finest ventilation of the entire school with countless 1000s of cfm air exchange, especially in the wet labs.
