Sculpture
Students entering Tyler’s program in Sculpture quickly find that they are part of a community of working artists. The 16,000 sf sculpture area features a wood and metal fabrication shop with all of the necessary tools, including saws, drill presses, lathe, sanders, grinders, hand tools for wood construction, and metal tools for bending, sanding, grinding, cutting, welding, forging, etc. This facility contains two 2-ton gantry cranes, smaller hoists, and an outdoor assembly area, a classroom, two large critique areas, direct access to the freight elevator, large graduate studios, dedicated undergraduate major studios, video, sound, and projection equipment, tool rooms, a smart classroom, and a 1000 square foot outdoor pad.
