Tyler School of Art and Architecture: Club & Guild Fair

The Tyler School of Art and Architecture is pleased to host our first virtual club and guild fair on Thursday, October 22 from 5-7 p.m. Students at Tyler are invited to stop by any of the sessions hosted by representatives from each club and guild to meet classmates, learn more about our different organizations, and get involved.

  • The American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) is an independent, nonprofit, student-run organization dedicated to providing unmatched progressive programs, information, and resources on issues critical to architecture and the experience of education. The AIAS aims to promote excellence in architectural education, training, and practice; to foster an appreciation of architecture and related disciplines; to enrich communities in a spirit of collaboration; and to organize students and combine their efforts to advance the art and science of architecture. Our session will run from 5:00–6:00 p.m.

  • The Undergraduate Art History Guild exists to foster relationships between Art History undergraduate students and non-major or minor enthusiasts at Temple University. We also provide professional development skills and career networking for students by establishing connections with existing Art History faculty and the Graduate Art History Organization (AHGO). We offer extracurricular opportunities for Art History students, including: informal meetings, holiday social events, lectures by guest speakers, and outings to relevant institutions or events. Our session will run from 5:00–7:00 p.m.

  • The Therapeutic Art Club seeks to engage students of the Temple University community with an interest in the art therapy practice. During our meetings, we participate in therapeutic artistic activities together and discuss the goals and achievements of the art therapy field as well as the applications to therapeutic art-making. Even if you don't have a great understanding of art therapy, we are more than happy to have you at our meetings to relax and enjoy the benefits of art-making.   • Tyler Ceramic Collective is a community of student artists and enthusiasts based out of Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University under the supervision of superior faculty. Our mission is to work together to grow and inspire one another through our shared craft. Our members prepare for the next steps after graduation by gaining opportunities to teach one another, sell their work, network with other artists, and explore new skills. Our session will run from 5:00–7:00 p.m.

  • We are working to ensure that ecological restoration is recognized and utilized as a fundamental component of global conservation, biodiversity and sustainable development programs, and that ecological restoration projects are designed and implemented in a way that provides people with the opportunity to not only repair ecological damage, but also improve the human condition.
