Artist Statement

Yixuan Pan translates language through various devices: poetry, swimming pool,
lollipops, soap bubbles, music therapy, glass shards, escorted situations, love
letter, or whatever. By dislocating language from its context and form, she
questions the words/sentences people learn and unlearn, specifically on its
comfort, temperature, power, transparency, and hierarchy.
