Urban Hydroponics – a Method of Sustainable Agriculture

This summer, Ila Outterbridge spent 3 to 4 days each week immersed in the production of hydroponically-grown crops with Dr. Eric Stein at e3garden. Now she will share the lessons she learned from this experience and explain why hydroponics is “farming for the future.” Ila became interested in hydroponics when she was first introduced to horticulture in high school. It intrigued her that one could produce so much with so little space, and she found the possibilities that hydroponics offered too hard to ignore. Her quest even took her to Hawaii! Join us on Friday to learn more.
