Time Lines : First Words
August 30-December 9, 2023
Wednesday, August 30 from 6-8 p.m.
Philadelphia-based contemporary artist Isaac Tin Wei Lin, whose densely covered surfaces of calligraphic, brushed and hand-drawn patterns immerse viewers in the logic and complexity of written language, presents a floor-to-ceiling exhibition entitled Time Lines : First Words — site-specific floor-to-ceiling murals and new sculptural works that explore the convergence of representation and vivid abstraction.
Lin is a 1998 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA), a 2005 graduate of the California College of the Arts (MFA), and an alumnus of Philadelphia's artist collective Space 1026. His artwork spans painting, screen-printing, collage, and installation, and he often collaborates with other artists in creating hybrid works. Read more...
