Printmaking

The Printmaking Program at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture—recognized as one of the nation’s best in the discipline—offers students access to world-class facilities, exceptional faculty and strong regional and national professional networks.

Tyler Printmaking students join a welcoming, collaborative community of artists and educators who are bridging tradition and innovation. Working side-by-side with faculty members who are practicing artists themselves, you’ll learn how to think critically and solve problems while exploring the full range of printmaking techniques, from traditional print processes such as intaglio, relief, lithography, mono-print, letterpress, book arts and screen printing to the latest experimental and digital technologies. As a Tyler student, you'll have access to the resources of large, public research university combined with the intimacy of an art school.

Tyler students take full advantage of the school's location in Philadelphia, a vibrant art center with a strong printmaking tradition, to find internships and jobs, explore museums and galleries and launch creative practices and businesses.
