2018 MFA Exhibitions

Jennifer Packer (B.F.A. '07) exhibits work at Brandeis

Jennifer Packer: Tenderheaded will be on view in the Gerald S. and Sandra Fineberg Gallery at the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University from March 2 through July 8 2018. Opening reception is March 1, 7-9 pm.  Based in observation, improvisation, and memory, this selection of recent work by Jennifer Packer (b. 1984) presents paintings of funerary bouquets and intimate portraits.   Read More

Tyler Glass alumni featured in Temple Super Bowl ad

If you watched the broadcast of the Philadelphia Eagles’ big Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots last Sunday (or the episode of NBC’s “This Is Us” that immediately followed the game), you may have seen an ad for Temple University—and you may have noticed some familiar faces in the Tyler School of Art and Architecture family. The one-minute advertisement, which aired soon after the game’s final whistle in the Philadelphia region, is part of a Temple campaign targeting prospective students. The spot showcases the many joys of living and learning in Philadelphia, including the city’s vibrant art scene, as exemplified by three lightning-quick scenes of glass-blowing and sculpting by members of the Tyler Glass community in the studio at East Falls Glassworks.   Read More

Tyler MFA wins Platinum in Graphis New Talent - Designers win 15 awards

Graphis New Talent 2018 recognized Tyler students with 15 awards in the 2018 annual competition. Krissy Beck (MFA 2017) took a platinum award for her graduate thesis preject, Sustain: Reflections from a tired grad student. Congratulations to Krissy and all the GAID winners!
