Emma Roberts interns at the Guggenheim (summer 18)

Emma Roberts (BA Art History anticipated 2019) is interning at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum this summer. She is working in the curatorial department, working with Associate Curator Susan Thompson. Her projects include the Hugo Boss Prize 2018, both phases of the 2019 Mapplethorpe exhibition, and research for potential acquisitions. Read More

Elizabeth Duntemann to take residency at the Center for the Art and Architecture of Port Cities, Naples, Italy

Elizabeth (PhD candidate, Art History) writes, "I am pleased to share that I have accepted a 9-month Research Residency at the Center for the Art and Architectural History of Port Cities/Centro per la Storia dell’Arte e dell’Architettura delle Città Portuali, in Naples, Italy. I will be part of an inaugural group of Ph.D. candidates invited to live and work on the grounds of the Museo e Real Bosco Capodimonte, at La Capraia. This residency will facilitate unprecedented access to resources in the city, foster professional connections with other graduates and scholars, and create a platform to share research across academic, museum, and public spheres. The residency project I have proposed to complete will contribute a vital strand to my dissertation research, which re-centers port cities, including Naples, as hubs of cultural production, to examine how art and architecture negotiated constructs of chronic infection and healing during the sixteenth century.   Read More

Jordan Garlic (BA 2018) to be interning at the PMA

Jordan Garlic, who earned her BA in Art History in Dec 2017, will be interning at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the summer of 2018.  She is as well the recipient of the Diversity Fellowship.  She writes, "I have been placed in the Contemporary Art department and will be working on a few different projects with the Exhibitions Assistant and the Collections Assistant including preparations for the Jasper Johns Retrospective that will be taking place simultaneously at the PMA and the Whitney in 2020.
