AED Presents: Andrea Cochran
The Tyler School of Art and Architecture is pleased to present Immersive Landscapes with esteemed landscape architect Andrea Cochran as a part of its virtual lecture series on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Cochran will discuss the process of creating landscapes that visualize the ephemeral and transitory elements of our natural world. She encourages audiences to approach the concept of space through a different lens and emphasizes the experiential qualities of the built environment in order to cultivate an evergreen connection to people and their surroundings. Cochran's work has been featured in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and she has earned several illustrious awards, including the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award in Landscape Architecture and the American Society of Landscape Architects’ Design Medal in 2014.
Students, faculty, staff and members of the surrounding community are encouraged to join Cochran on November 10, 2021 from 4:30-5:30 online.
