The Tyler School of Art and Architecture's Community Development program partnered with the Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations and LISC to celebrate National Community Development Week 2019. The partners hosted a public workshop "Power and Influence" lead by Rodney Mobley and Tess Donie of New Kensington Community Development Corporation. Over a dozen residents and community leaders were introduced to tools to identify where they have Influence in their communities and to understand how to best utilize their power to be most effective in their work. This session covered concepts of identity, power mapping, and collective action.
Representatives from the Community Development program and Tyler Admissions gave an overview of the Community Development major, admissions and the financial aid process.
