Dr. Emily Neumeier named Fellow and receives grant to publish
Dr. Emily Neumeier has been named the 2023 Senior Edilia and François-Auguste de Montêquin Fellow by the Society of Architectural Historians. This award provides support for travel related to research on Spanish, Portuguese, or Ibero-American architecture. Neumeier will use this fellowship to conduct fieldwork for a new book project on Orientalist architecture in Florida.
She has also been awarded a grant of 6,000 GBP from the Barakat Trust to support the publication of her forthcoming book that will present an alternative history of Ottoman architectural patronage from the borderlands of empire during the Age of Revolutions.
