Lauren Rosenblum (MA, Art History 2012) selected to write essay for "Hannah Wilke: Sculpture in the Landscape" catalog
The "Hannah Wilkie: Sculpture in the Landscape" is at Temple Contemporary from April 25 to July 12, 2019. Lauren, as an alumna of the Art History program, was selected to help write the catalog of the show by the Hannah Willie Collection & Archive. As an emerging scholar whose research interests in the history of feminist art practice and the landscape, Lauren was an ideal match for this project. The work on this essay, "Before her Landscape, a Backdrop of Hannah WIlkie's "California Series"", included a research trip to the Hannah Wilkie Collection & Archive in Los Angeles. Funding for the exhibit was generously provided by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the Tyler School of Art and Architecture's Office of the Dean, and the Department of Exhibitions & Public Programs, and Temple University's General Activities Fund.
