ASAP/Journal recently published a “TRANS-ASIA” dossier, coedited by Alpesh Kantilal Patel and Jane Chin Davidson. It includes interviews with artists Patty Chang and Shahzia Sikander and short essays by scholars from Hong Kong, Germany, Canada, and the United States. It is accessible for free right now via https://muse.jhu.edu/pub/1/article/957246.  The volume includes an article by Jessica Braum (PhD candidate), who suggests that a TRANSASIA framework allows for a more nuanced understanding of the "plurilocal subjectivity" of Kim Lim, a Singaporean-British sculptor and printmaker of Chinese descent.
