Prof. Joseph Kopta speaks at the 14th Annual Global Temple Conference
Art History Professor Joseph Kopta will present a paper, “New Technologies in Study Abroad: Geolocated Audio Guides in Venice,” at the 14th Annual Global Temple Conference taking place at the Howard Gittis Student Center, Temple University, on Wednesday, February 1. The paper, part of the session “Facilitating Student Experience Abroad,” evaluates a collaborative digital project that his students in the course "Art History of Venice" participated in during the Summer 2022. The paper will outline the learning objectives, methods of execution, and results, and offer a new means for student engagement in study abroad settings.
The Global Temple Conference celebrates Temple’s global dimensions and its enduring commitment to global education and engagement. A global information fair will showcase the many opportunities and resources available. The conference is free and open to the Temple community and the public. A schedule can be found here.
The Global Temple Conference is organized by the Office of Global Engagement and supported by Colleges and Programs across the University, and is sponsored by the Office of Global Engagement and The Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER).
