Student Teachers Attend Workshop with Christina Lukac, Adaptive Arts Educator

Student Teachers participate in Adaptive Arts Activity

On Saturday April 6, 2019, Student Teachers attended a workshop with Christina Lukac, Adaptive Arts Educator at Olney Charter High School, titled "Art Making Strategies for Individuals in the Life Skills & Autism Support Classroom". The workshop focused on strategies for teaching art in a wide range of settings for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. 

Christina Lukac is an artist and educator who has worked with a wide range of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the non-profit and general education setting. She presented her research at the 2017 International Conference on Disability Studies, Art, and Education in Helsinki, Finland. Christina holds BFA with Art Education Concentration from Tyler Scool of Art and a Masters degree in Art Education with a Focus on Special Populations from Moore College of Art and Design.
