    Tyler Alumnus Wins Prestigious Rome Prize

    Tyler School of Art and Architecture alumnus William Villalongo (MFA ‘01) has recently been awarded a prestigious 2021–2022 Rome Prize—a highly competitive fellowship that supports advanced independent work and research in the arts and humanities. Each of the 35 artists and scholars awarded a Rome Prize will receive a stipend, workspace and room and board at the Academy’s eleven-acre campus in Rome, Italy, in September 2021. Read More

    Pepón Osorio Awarded Guggenheim Fellowship

    Three Alumni Receive Awards by The American Academy of Arts and Letters

Riley (MFA ‘09) are among the 18 artists to receive 2021 awards from The American Academy of Arts and Letters.     Community Arts Practices Addresses Inequities Created by Climate Change

    The Trust for Public Land Heat Response PHL project was launched to create public art that addresses the question: “Why should we care about urban heat and what can we do about it?” The organization, along with its team of artists and community leads, will help elevate community voices and  creatively amplify their lived experiences to drive policy change and achieve equity across Philadelphia neighborhoods in response to rising temperatures. Members of the Tyler School of Art and Architecture’s Community Arts Practices (CAP) are supporting this project.
