Artist Statement 

I am a queer Vietnamese designer based in Philadelphia. One of my biggest ambitions is to factor my cultural identity and intersectional approaches to social justice into my work. In doing so, I have been thoroughly exploring themes of queer joy, grief, humor, and celebration of Vietnamese culture. Because graphic design is so historically intertwined with capitalistic ideals and interests, it's easy to fall into the trap of its profit-first mentality and disregard the lives of people who really need the most help. All I really want is to contribute in any way I can to uplift the voices of those around me, and if I can use my skills to do so, I absolutely will.
